We are the Law Office of Michael D. Tracton, P.C., a Family Law firm practicing in Sugar Land, Texas since 1991. Michael has been licensed to practice law since 1980. Our firm serves both Harris and Fort Bend Counties. The philosophy we follow is simple: we don't try to be all things to all people. The two largest parts of our Family Law practice are divorce and child custody. Whenever possible, we encourage clients to seek professional marriage counseling to seek reconciliation. When this is not possible, we try to assist clients to reach an amicable settlement. Michael is a very aggressive attorney, but he is also an excellent negotiator.

We attribute our success to a variety of factors: we put clients at ease right from the start, and strive to provide a professional and personable environment in which clients can feel comfortable and assured that their legal needs are being understood and met by an experienced attorney. We treat clients with respect and courtesy, their inquiries always receiving a prompt response.

Communication with the client is key. We make it a point to understand the concerns of our clients and address each concern in a professional and courteous manner. The words "personal attention" mean that this is integral in our day-to-day dealings with clients. When we take on a case, we are committed to the cause and give nothing less than our fullest attention and effort.

When we take on a new case, it is assigned to a senior paralegal that will have significant involvement throughout the process. As a result, clients get to know the paralegals very well and can speak with them about aspects of their case whenever Michael is unavailable. Our paralegals are very experienced and well versed in family law matters, having worked in the office for many years.

Michael Tracton is the father of seven children, some biological, some step and some adopted. Also, some of his children have special needs and disabilities. Having such a large family has given him the perspective on life to really be able to empathize with the problems of clients and to deal with their matters on a more personal level.
